Design effect of Gate of the Orient

Gate of Orient is located by Jinji Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park. Viewed from the drawing of design effect, Gate of the Orient consists of two towers, the north and the south wings, joined together at the height of 229.2 meters and forming an arch in similar shape of the ancient city gate of Suzhou.

In the initial stage the designed height was 278 meters, but in order to meet the need of structural characteristics the height changed to 281.1 meters. By January 19, 14 floors of the major building have been completed with a height of 79.1 meters.
