Core Tube of Kuala Lumper Signature Tower Capped
The core tube of Kuala Lumper Signature Tower, the highest building in Malaysia, which is undertaken by China Construction Eighth Engineering Pision Corp., Ltd. (CSCEC 8th Bureau) was topped out on December 20.
The 452.37m-high tower stands at the extension line of the Belt & Road, and will be the highest building in Malaysia once completed. It is also the first skyscraper in a foreign country undertaken by a Chinese contractor.
Since April 2016, CSCEC 8th Bureau has spent 27 days on binding the base plate reinforced bars of 3,200 tons, cast large concrete base plate of 20,000 square meters in 60 hours, and finished the construction of a 70-floor basement in 80 days. While building the main part of the building, the project team built a structural floor in two days at the fastest speed, making a new record in building core tube of the same height. In addition, many advanced technologies were first used in Malaysia. (from CSCEC 8th Bureau)
