Taiwan is already developed and has a decreasing population. Real state development should be cautious to avoid bubbles. Anyway, Mainland China will become highly developed as modern day Taiwan today by 2035-40, and moderately developed by 2025-30.

As a mainland citizen, we thought we are already as developed as taiwan and even more modern. But according to your statement, we still need another 20 years to catch up.

I'm a foreigner (Spain, EU) and from my objective perspective and having been to both PRC and ROC, China IS developed, but still growing, in coastal provinces and some central cities (Chengdu, Wuhan, Changsa...) BUT the rural gap remains wide still. Government support and hard working mainlanders will help to close that gaps and continue the development. Don't get me wrong here: mainland infraestructure is great, much better and modern than Taiwan's, but Taiwanese still earn higher wages (higher rents as well) and have less working hours. In the end China will catch up with South Korea in mid 30's and with Japan a little after. Keep working and innovating! I will keep my investments in your nation as I'm hopefull of mainland's future.

Agree! The gap between main cities and rural areas is still wide and median salary is low even in big cities!
But, it is rather inspiring to hear from a foreigner that our economy is promising rather than unsustainable, cuz I heard a lot of views from other countries especially Taiwan trying to detract  and denigrate us.

I like your words, just ignore those idiots, there are enough stupid guys in this site  thinking that developed aera means having higher building, in their eyes, even a slump county in middle China full of shabby 100 miters high apartment buildings where emplyee's average monthly salary is only 3000 Chinese Yuan (about 450US$) is much more developed than Spain where people cherish the historian bulding and don't like skyscrapers to ruin their beautiful city! Those maniac skyscraper lovers are frogs stay at the bottom of a well, insisting that sky is nothing but a circle!
